Bion Tsang appears on the Seattle Chamber Music Society's "Classical Conversations" with KING FM’s Dave Beck. Bion shares music from his upcoming recording of short pieces for cello and piano. The recording is a tribute to the string players who helped shape Bion’s playing style. They include Isaac Stern, Jascha Heifetz, Josef Hassid, Leonard Rose and Gregor Piatigorsky. Also Bion Tsang talks about the Dallas-based string instrument maker Wayne Burak who, in 2011, built the cello on which Bion is performing in Seattle. Bion says Burak’s work rivals the instruments of the old Italian luthiers of Cremona.
