Get a sneak preview of Bion Tsang's upcoming release of the Bach Unaccompanied Cello Suites at the Ashmolean Museum!
If you're traveling to England this summer, Bion Tsang's recording of the Gigue from the Bach Suite No. 3 in C major is a part of the Ashmolean Museum's special exhibition celebrating the life and work of Antonio Stradivari. Bion can be heard on the exhibit's Audio Guide performing on the legendary "Bass of Spain" Stradivari cello. It is amongst recordings on other Stradivari instruments performed by the likes of James Ehnes, Yuri Bashmet and Gregor Piatigorsky.
Established in 1678, the Ashmolean Museum of Art and Archaeology at the University of Oxford is the world's first university museum. The Stradivarius exhibit runs from June 13 until August 11, 2013.
